Implementing
The Disability Discrimination Act
TMS offers you total support
in ensuring the effective implementation of the Disability Discrimination
Act, whether legal compliance or achieving best-practice.
The DDA is the most important and comprehensive anti-discrimination
legislation in a generation. Under the DDA, individual disabled people
have a right to non-discrimination in employment and when obtaining
goods and services. Part 111 of the Act already places a duty on employers
and those providing services to make reasonable adjustments to premises
and arrangements affecting disabled employees and customers. From
2004 there will be an additional requirement to remove physical obstructions
or provide other ways for disabled people to access your services. Amongst TMS services are:

- Resource packs
and supporting training to enable you to cascade the message to
customer-facing staff and those making employment decisions.
